THE WEAK AND SAHIH VIRTUES OF DIFFERENT SURAHS IN QURAN

Praise be to Allah. The reason to distinguish the weak narrations regarding the virtues of certain surahs is only so as to warn people from ascribing weak/doubtful narrations to the prophet (s.a.w). Even though certain narrations are weak, yet their meaning is acceptable or hasan. I have relied primarily on the work of shaykh albaanee in this regard on various authentic surahs however i have added , removed upon further study and analysis as and when required.

SAHEEH HADEETH ON ITS VIRTUES:

Ibn ‘Abbas narrated: “While Jibril was with the Messenger of Allah, he heard a noise from above. Jibril lifted his sight to the sky and said: “This is a door in the Heavens being opened, and it has never been opened before now.” An Angel descended from that door and came to the Prophet and said: “Receive the glad tidings of two lights that you have been given, which no other Prophet before you was given: the Opening of the Book (Al Fatiha), and the last verses of ‘al-Baqarah.’ You will not read a letter of them except that you will gain its benefit.” [Sahih Muslim, Sunan Al Nisaee 912, 'Sahih at-Targhib wat-Tarhib'; # 1456]

Prophet (s.a.w) said "Nothing like it (Al fatiha) has been revealed in the Tawrah (Torah), nor the Injeel (gospel), nor in the Zabur (the Pslams), or the Furqaan. And it is the seven oft-repeated verses and the Mighty Qur'an which i have been given. [
2884 Tirmidhi, BOOK ON VIRTUES OF THE QUR’AN Chapter 1: Virtues al-Fatihah, Agreed Upon]
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (s.a.w), who said: A prayer performed by someone who has not recited the Essence of the Quran (1) during it is deficient (and he repeated the word three times), incomplete. Someone said to Abu Hurayrah: [Even though] we are behind the imam? (2) He said: Recite it to yourself, for I have heard the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of Allah be up on him) say: Allah (mighty and sublime be He), had said: I have divided prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. When the servant says: Al-hamdu lillahi rabbi l-alamin (3), Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: My servant has praised Me. And when he says: Ar-rahmani r-rahim (4), Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: My servant has extolled Me, and when he says: Maliki yawmi d-din (5), Allah says: My servant has glorified Me - and on one occasion He said: My servant has submitted to My power. And when he says: Iyyaka na budu wa iyyaka nasta in (6), He says: This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. And when he says: Ihdina s-sirata l- mustaqim, siratal ladhina an amta alayhim ghayril-maghdubi alayhim wa la d-dallin (7), He says: This is for My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. (1) Surat al-Fatihah, the first surah (chapter) of the Qur'an. (2) i.e. standing behind the imam (leader) listening to him reciting al-Fatihah. (3) "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds." (4) "The Merciful, the Compassionate". (5) "Master of the Day of Judgement". (6) "It is You we worship and it is You we ask for help". (7) "Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favors, not of those against whom You are angry, nor of those who are astray". [Sahih Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi, Abu-Dawud, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah, Hadis Qudsi 8]

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Mu'alla:While I was praying, the Prophet called me but I did not respond to his call. Later I said, "O Allah's Apostle! I was praying." He said, "Didn't Allah say: 'O you who believe! Give your response to Allah (by obeying Him) and to His Apostle when he calls you'?" (8.24) He then said, "Shall I not teach you the most superior Surah in the Qur'an?" He said, '(It is), 'Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. ' (i.e., Surat Al-Fatiha) which consists of seven repeatedly recited Verses and the Magnificent Qur'an which was given to me." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 6, Book 61, Hadith 528, also see Vol. 6, Book 60, Hadith 227]

Surah Al Fatiha is also used as Ruqyah for healing and treatment. [See Sahih Muslim Book 26, Hadith 5458 and Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 6, Book 61, Hadith 529]

WEAK NARRATIONS  :

Please note, as mentioned in the begining of this document, some weak narrations may or may not have certain acceptable content.

The Fatiha of the Book is above (in merit) to what no other part of the book (Quran) can reach. And if the fatiha was to be placed on one scale and the Qura’an to be placed on another, then the fatiha will outweight the Qura’an seven times [Very weak, see Silsilah Ahadeeth al Dae’efa:3996, For another kind of weak narration see 3997 also Dae’ef Al targheeb wa tarheeb :347 , Jami’ Al sagheer :3952 and others]

The Fatiha of the book is a cure of the poison [Silsilah Ahadeeth Da'eefa : 3997]

When you lie your side on your bed [getting ready to sleep] and you recited [The opening chapter of the Quran] and [Qul huwallahu Ahad - Surah Ikhlaas] : then you have been secured of everything except death. [Da'eef Al Targheeb wa Tarheeb :347]

The Fatiha of the book (quran) and the Ayatul Kursi ; no slave will ever recite them in a house ; except that no evil eye from a Jinn or human will ever affect them in that day [Da'eef - Jami' Al Sagheer : 3952]

Note: Even though this particular hadeeth is Da'eef, we do have sahih hadeeth affirming that ayatul Kursi is used as a protection and so are the three Quls (surah Ikhlas, Al Falaq and Al Naas]

The Fatiha of the book is a medicine for all diseases [Da'eef Al Jami' as Sagheer 3951]

The Fatiha is equal to a third of Quran [Da'eef - Jami' al Sagheer - 3949]

SURAH AL BAQARAH

SAHEEH NARRATIONS  :

Abu Mas'ud Al-Badri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:I heard the Prophet (s.a.w ) saying, "He who recites the two Ayat at the end of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him." [Al- Bukhari and Muslim, Riyad as Swaliheen Book 9, Hadith 1017, Sunan Abu Dawood 1397]

It was narrated from Hudhaifah that: The Prophet (s.a.w) recited Surat Al-Baqarah, Al 'Imran and An-Nisa' in one rak'ah, and he did not reach any verse that spoke of mercy but he asked Allah for it, nor any verse that spoke of punishment but he asked Allah for protection therefrom [ Sunan Al Nasaee 1009]

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) saying: "Do not turn your houses into graveyards. Satan runs away from the house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is recited."
[Muslim, Riyad us swaliheen Book 9, Hadith 1018].

An-Nawwas bin Sam'an (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) saying, "The Qur'an and its people who applied it, will be brought on the Day of Resurrection preceded with Surat Al-Baqarah and Surat Al-'Imran arguing on behalf of those who applied them." [Muslim, Riyad us swaliheen Book 9, Hadith 992].

Prophet (s.a.w) said “Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi (verse # 255) after every obligatory prayer, then there is nothing between him and his entrance into Paradise except his death.” [Al Nasaee, 'Sahih al-Jami''; # 6464]

From Nu'maan ibn Basheer (r.a) who said that the Prophet (s.a.w) said " “Verily, Allah Wrote a Book one thousand years before He Created the Heavens and the Earth; from this Book descended the last two verses of ‘al-Baqarah.’ These verses are not recited for three nights in any home except that no devil can come near it.”
 [Jami' Al Tirmidhi, 'Sahih al-Jami''; # 1799]

Ali radiallahu `anhu  said:

“About a man who did not read the last three ayats of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, I can not say that he is intelligent”

[Ref: Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, hadith: 29927, Sunan Darimi, hadith: 3552/3384, At-Tibyan, pgs. 205-205 & Nataijul Afkar, vol.3 pgs.90-91.]

WEAK NARRATIONS  :

Two verses in the Qur'an; they are the Qur'an and they are cures, and they are from those which Allah loves. These are the last two verses of Surah Al Baqarah [ Silsilah Ahaadeeth Al Da'eefa : 154]
Whoever recites Suratul Baqarah, he will be crowned with a crown in paradise [Fabricated - Silsilah Ahadeeth Al Da'eefa 4633]

SURAH AALE 'IMRAAN

SAHEEH NARRATIONS  :

Abu Umama said he heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) say: Recite the Qur'an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones, al-Baqara and Surah Al 'Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah al-Baqara, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it. (Mu'awiya said: It has been conveyed to me that here Batala means magicians.) [Sahih Muslim,Book 4, Hadith 1757]

WEAK  NARRATIONS  :

Whoever recites during the Friday, the Surah in which the family of Imraan is mentioned then Allah and his angels send their peace and blessings to the person until the sun [of that friday] sets [Al Da'eefa 415]

Allah's most magnificent name, of which when used to implore Him, His response is found in this verse in Surah Aaale Imraan : Say" Oh Allah! Possessor of the Kingdom , you give the Kingdom to whom you will....[to the end of the verse] [Al Da'eefa 2772]

If anyone recites the end of the surah Aale Imraan at night the reward for a night spent in prayer will be recorded for him [Da'eef Mishkaat al Masaabih : 2112]

Whoever recites Aale Imran during Friday; the angels invoke blessings to the person until night time. [Da'eef Mishkat al Masaabih : 2113]

There is no person who will be on a riding beast and having problems, except that when he says into its ear " Do they seek other than the religion of Allah, while to him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, And to him (Allah) shall they all be returned." [Surah Aalem Imran verse 83], except that the animal will be calm by the Will of Allah [Da'eef Al Kalaam Tayyiba : 177]

Allah will never repulse a slave who stood up at night and opened his recitation with Surah Al Baqarah and Aale Imran [Da'eef Jami' as Sagheer 5063]

SURAH TAHA

Taken from Shaykh Saleh al-Munnajid

Praise be to Allah.
Firstly:

The following hadeeths about the virtues of Surah Taha are saheeh (authentic):

-1-

It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allah ibn Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) said concerning Bani Israil (al-Isra), al-Kahf, Maryam, Taha and al-Anbiya: They are among the best of the earliest ones that I learned by heart.

Narrated by al-Bukhari (4994).

Al-Bayhaqi said in Shu’ab al-Eeman:

He was referring to the superiority of these surahs because of what they contain of stories of the Prophets (peace and blessings be upon them) and the nations.

And they were among the first surahs to be revealed at the beginning of Islam, because they are Makkan surahs, and they were among the first parts of the Quran to be recited and memorized. End quote.

Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar said in Fath al-Bari (8/388):

What Ibn Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) meant was that they were among the first parts of the Quran that he learned, and that they have a special virtue because they contain stories of the Prophets (peace and blessing be upon them) and the nations. End quote.

-2-

It was narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The greatest name of Allah appears in three surahs of the Quran: in al-Baqarah, Al ‘Imran and Taha.”

Narrated by Ibn Majah (3856) and al-Hakim (1/686); classed as hasan (sound) by al-Albani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah (746).

He (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

With regard to the words of al-Qasim ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman (the one who narrated it from Abu Umamah) that the greatest name is found in the verse (interpretation of the meaning):  “And (all) faces shall be humbled before (Allah), Al-Hayyul-Qayyum (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists)” [Taha20:111] in Surah Taha, I could not find anything to support it. It is more likely in my view that it is in the verse at the beginning of the surah: “Verily, I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I)” [Taha 20:14], and that is in accordance with some saheeh hadeeths (authentic narrations. See: al-Fath (11/225) and Saheeh Abi Dawood (1341). End quote.

Secondly:

Concerning the virtues of Surah Taha there are some da’eef (weak) hadeeths, which I will quote here to draw attention to them and warn people against them.

-1-

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, recited Taha and Yaseen one thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, and when the angels heard the Quran they said: Glad tidings to the nation to whom this is revealed, glad tidings to the hearts that carry this, glad tidings to the tongues that speak it.”

Narrated by al-Darimi (2/547). The editor said: Its isnad (chain of narrators) is very weak. Ahmad said of ‘Umar ibn Hafs ibn Dhakwan: We rejected his hadeeth and regarded him as very weak. In al-Mu’jam al-Awsat (5/133) it says: Ibn Hibban said in al-Majrooheen (1/208): This is a fabricated text. Ibn al-Jawzi said likewise in al-Mawdoo’at (1/110). Ibn Katheer said in Tafseer al-Quran il-Azeem (5/271): It is weird. Al-Albani said in al-Silsilah al-Da’eefah (1248): It is munkar (denounced). See also al-Kamil (1/216) and Lisan al-Meezan (1/114).

-2-

It was narrated that Ma’qil ibn Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“Learn the Quran, accept as permissible what it permits, regard as forbidden what it forbids, follow its guidance and do not reject anything in it. Whatever you are confused about in it, refer it to Allah and to those who are in authority after I am gone, so that they may tell you. Believe in the Tawrat and Injeel and Zaboor, and what the Prophets brought from their Lord, but be content with the Quran and what it contains of clarity, for it is an intercessor whose intercession will be accepted. Each verse will have light on the Day of Resurrection. I have been given Surah al-Baqarah among the early Revelation, and I have been given Taha and Taseen-Meems and Ha-Meems from the tablets of Moosa and I have been given the Opening of the Book (al-Fatihah) from beneath the Throne.

Narrated by al-Hakim in al-Mustadrak (1/757) and he said: This hadeeth has a saheeh isnad although they (al-Bukhari and Mulsim) did not narrate it. Also narrated by al-Tabarani in al-Mu’jam al-Kabeer (20/225). Classed as da’eef by al-Albani in al-Silsilah al-Da’eefah (2826) and by Ibn Hibban in al-Majrooheen (2/65).

-3-

It was narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say in his du’a (supplication):

“O Lord of Taha and Yaseen, O Lord of the Holy Quran.”

Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Majmoo’ al-Fatawa (5/173-174):

There is no difference of opinion among the scholars that this hadeeth is a lie against the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). End quote.

-4-

“Whoever reads Taha will be given the reward of the Muhajireen (Emigrants) and the Ansar (Helpers) on the Day of Resurrection.”

This was quoted by al-Zamakhshari and al-Baydawi with regard to the virtues of Surah Taha, but it is a fabricated hadeeth.

See: al-Kashf al-Ilahi by al-Tarabulsi (1/178).

With regard to what you asked about the virtue of reading it three times every night, I could not find that in the books of the Sunnah, and I did not even find it in the books of mawdoo’ (fabricated) reports. Nothing concerning that has been proven from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so you should be careful and avoid that, and strive to follow the saheeh Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and shun that which is da’eef (weak) and mawdoo’ (fabricated).

SURAH Al HUD

From 'Irbaadh ibn Saariyah (r.a) said : Rasool (s.a.w) never used to sleep until he recited : The Musabbihaat and it is said in them , there is a verse which is better than a 1000 verses [At-Tirmidhi 2921 and Abu Dawud 5057 Silsilah Ahadeeth Al Saheeha - 2712]

Note : ‘al-Musabbahat’ are those chapters that begin with “سبح” or “يسبح” (Subhana, Sabbaha, Yusabbihu) and they are Al-Isra, Al-Hadid, Al-Hashr, As-Saff, Al-Jumu'ah, At-Taghabun and Al-A'la.

SURAH Al KAHF

['as-Silsilah as-Sahihah'; # 582]

And In another narration the last 10 verses [Sahih Muslim]

“Whoever recites ‘al-Kahf’ (in the same manner) as it was revealed, he will have a light on the Day of Resurrection that will reach from wherever he is all the way to Makkah. And whoever recites the last ten verses of it, and the Dajjal emerges right after, then he will not be harmed by him. And nobody makes ablution, then says: ‘Glory and praise be to You, O Allah. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance’ [Subhanak Allahumma wa bi Hamdik; ashhadu an la ilaha illa Ant. Astaghfiruk wa atubu ilayk] except that it is written on a tablet and permanently transcribed on that tablet, and that tablet will not be broken or damaged until the Day of Resurrection.” ['as-Silsilah as-Sahihah'; # 2651]

WEAK NARRATIONS  :

"Surah Al Kahf is called in the Torah as "The Barrier" . It serves as a barrier to the hell fire for its readers" [Da'eefa 3259]

And for whoever recites it , he has a reward like that and whoever recites it, he is forgiven for what is between two fridays and another three days. They (Sahabas) said " Ofcourse (tell us). Whoever reads yaseen seeking Allah's pleasure, his past sins will be forgiven. So recite it over the dying among you [Da'eef Jami' al Sagheer : 5785]

[ Al-Bukhari, At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasa'i collected this Hadith from several chains of narration through Malik, may Allah grant him His mercy. `Ali bin Al-Madini commented, "This is a good chain of narration consisting of the scholars of Al-Madinah.'' Imam Ahmad recorded that Anas bin Malik said, "This Ayah was revealed to the Prophet, See Sahih Al Jami' 5121]

This surah was revealed when the companions and prophet (s.a.w) were returning from Al Hudaibiyah , disappointed because they couldn't enter the Makkah for their pilgrimage and to meet their family members, and had to return back to Madinah.

The Prophet (Sallallähu alaihi wa sallam) asked: “Can any one of you recite a thousand verses daily?” Sahabah replied: “Who has the ability to do so?”
He said: “Can any one of you not recite: Surah Alhakumut Takathur (102), (its reward is equivalent to the reciting of a thousand verses)
”. (Mustadrak Hakim)

I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say, ‘Whoever recites al-Waaqi’ah every night will never become poor.” [Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Eemaan, 2/491. This hadeeth was classed as da’eef by Shaykh al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Da’eefah, 289, also see Da'eef al Jami' Al Sagheer 5773).

Teach your women Surah Al Waqiah; Indeed it is a surah of bringing sufficiency (wealth) [Da'eef al Jami' al Sagheer : 3730]

Whoever recites Surah Al Waqiah and teaches it , he is not considered to be among the heedless one. And he and his family will never become poor [Al Da'eefa : 291]

SURAH Al HASHR

WEAK NARRATIONS  :

'Whoever when he wakes in the morning says (three times) 'I seek refuge with Allah against the accursed satan' and then recited three verses from the last part of Surah al Hashr, will be assigned seventy thousand angels to pray for him until the evening, and should he die that day, he would have died a martyr' [Reported Ibn Ahmad, Darimi, Tirmidhi 5/182- All narrations are weak. Also see Da'eef Jami' al Sagheer: 5732]

Whoever recited the end of Surah al Hashr in the day or night - and then dies on that day or night, paradise becomes obligatory on him [Da'eef al Jami' al Sagheer : 5770]

Allah's greatest Names are in the last six verses of Surah Al Hashr [Da'eef Jami' al Sagheer :853]

On the authority of Ibn `Abbaas رضي الله عنهما that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “The Great names of Allaah are in the last six aayaat of Surah al-Hashr.” [Dha`eef Jami` al-Sagheer (853), and graded as “Dha`eef” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Dha`eefah (2773)]

On the authority of Anas bin Maalik رضي الله عنه that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم advised a man that when he goes to bed, to recite Surah al-Hashr. And he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “If you die, you will a martyr.” Or he said: “you will be from the people of paradise.” [Ibn Sunni (712) and graded as “Dha`eef” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Dha`eefah (2217). Ibn Hajar said: “Its chain is very weak”.]

On the authority of Anas bin Maalik رضي الله عنه that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Whoever reads the last part of Surah al-Hashr then all his past and future sins will be forgiven.” [Ibn Hajar said in al-Khisaal al-Mukaffirah (1/66): “In its chain is Yazeed bin Aabaan and he is weak. Also in its chain is Muhammad bin Yunus, scholars have spoken a lot about him.”]

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “O `Alee! If you feel a headache, put your hand on it (the head) and recite the last part of Surah al-Hashr.” [reported by al-Shawkaanee in al-Fawaaid al-Majmoo`ah (313) with two chains and in both the condition of the narrators are unknown]

Abu Umaamah رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Whoever recites (in the night) the end part of Surah al-Hashr and then dies, (Jannah) will be affirmed for him. And whoever recites it in the morning and then dies, (Jannah) will be affirmed for him.” [reported by Ibn `Adee in al-Kaamil fee al-Du`afaa’ (4/335) and he said it is a rejected narration. Ibn al-Faisaraanee said in Dhakheeratul Huffaadh (4/2368), in its chain is Saleem bin `Uthmaan who would narrate spurious narrations and this is one of them]

SURAH Al MULK  & SURAH SAJDAH & Insaan

SAHEEH NARRATIONS  :

Narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “A soorah from the Qur’aan containing thirty verses will intercede for a man so that he will be forgiven. It is the soorah Tabaarak Alathi bi yadihi’l-mulk [i.e., Soorat al-Mulk].”[Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2891; Abu Dawood, 1400; Ibn Maajah, 3786, Ahmad (7634) Al-Tirmidhi said, this is a hasan hadeeth. It was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah in Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 22/277, and by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah, 3053 and classes as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 3/6]

It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood said: Whoever reads Tabaarak allaahi bi yadihi’l-mulk [i.e., Soorat al-Mulk] every night, Allaah will protect him from the torment of the grave. At the time of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) we used to call it al-maani’ah (that which protects). In the Book of Allaah it is a soorah which, whoever recites it every night has done very well.[Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 6/179; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb, 1475.]

Narrated from Jaabir, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) never used to sleep until he had recited Alif-laam-meem tanzeel [al-Sajdah] and Tabaarak alladhi bi yadihi’l-mulk [al-Mulk].

[Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2892; Ahmad, 14249. Al-Albaani said in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi (3/6) that this hadeeth is saheeh.]

In the Book of the Friday prayer, al-Bukhaaree (Rahimahullaah) recorded that Abu-Hurayrah (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) said, "The Prophet (Sallallaahu 'alayhi wa Sallam) used to recite in Fajr on Fridays:

﴿الم تَنزِيلَ﴾

(Alif Lam Mim. The revelation of...), As-Sajdah [32], and

﴿هَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الإِنسَـنِ﴾

(Has there not been over man...)Al-Insan [76].'' This was also recorded by Muslim.

SURAH Al SHARH AND SURAATUL FEEL

WEAK NARRATIONS  :

Whoever recites in the Fajr - Surah Al Sharh and Surah al Feel he will never become blind [ laa aslah la - no basis - Al Da'eefa (67)]

SURAH Al QADR

WEAK NARRATIONS  :

It is reported that he (s.a.w) recited Surah Al Qadr after making wudhu (ablution) [Al Da'eefa 68]

Whoever recites Al Qadr after completing his wudu - one time - that he is written to be among the sincere ones, and if he recited it twice, he is included in the gardens of the martyrs and if he recite it thrice, he will be resurrected among the resurrection of the prophets [Al Da'eefa 1449]

SURAH Al JUMU'AH

WEAK NARRATIONS  :

The one who recites Soorat al-Jumu’ah will be given hasanaat in reward equal to the number of those who come to Jumu’ah and those who do not in the Muslim regions [Narrated by al-Tha’labi in al-Kashf wa’l-Bayaan (9/305)]

The above narration is Mawdo' (Fabricated) because the sanad contains Abu ‘Asmah ibn Abi Maryam, who is a well known fabricator and liar

Al-Manaawi said in al-Fath al-Samaawi: it is mawdoo

It says in al-Saheeh wa’l-Saqeem min Fadaa’il al-Qur’aan al-Kareem by Amaal Sa’di (p. 81): There is no saheeh report from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) about the virtues of Soorat al-Jumu’ah. There are da’eef (weak) and mawdoo’ (fabricated) reports about its virtues

But Soorat al-Jumu’ah is one of the mufassal soorahs (those in the latter part of the Qur’aan) which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said he was favoured with above all other Books and Prophets. It was narrated from Waathilah ibn al-Asqa’ that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I have been favoured with al-Mufassal.”

Narrated by Ahmad (4/107); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Bidaayat al-Sool, p. 59. He said: The reviewers of al-Musnad under the supervision of Shaykh Shu’ayb al-Arna’oot said that its isnaad is hasan.

SURAH Al ZALZALAH

WEAK NARRATIONS  :

Surah Zalzalah is equal to half the Quran [Da'eef Targheeb wa tarheeb : 889]

Route 1:

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake’ (i.e., Soorat al-Zalzalah) is equivalent to half of the Qur’aan.” [Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (2894) and al-Haakim (1/754)]

Its isnaad includes Yamaan ibn al-Mugheerah al-‘Anzi, concerning whom al-Bukhaari and Abu Haatim said: his hadeeth is munkar. Ibn Hibbaan said: his hadeeth is very munkar; he narrates munkar hadeeth that have no basis and deserve to be ignored. See Tahdheeb al-Tahdheeb (4/452).

Yamaan is the only one who narrated this hadeeth, alone among the companions of ‘Ata’, and he is not acceptable as a sole narrator of a hadeeth, rather the fact that he is the sole narrator indicates that it is munkar. And Allaah knows best.

The majority of scholars are the view that the hadeeth is to be regarded as weak because of Yamaan ibn al-Mugheerah, in contrast to those scholars who classed it as saheeh. It was classed as da’eef by al-Tirmidhi when he said, after quoting it: it is ghareeb and we know it only from the hadeeth of Yamaan ibn al-Mugheerah.

It was also classed as such by Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr in al-Tamheed, where he said: It is one of the ahaadeeth of the Shaykhs, not one of the ahaadeeth of the imams. And it was classed as da’eef by Ibn Hajar in Fath al-Baari (8/687), by al-Dhahabi in Talkhees al-Mustadrak, by al-Manaawi in Fayd al-Qadeer (1/367) and by al-Shawkaani in al-Fath al-Rabbaani (12/5930). Al-Albaani said in al-Silsilah al-Da’eefah (1342): it is munkar

Route 2:

It was narrated from Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever recites ‘When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake’, it will be equivalent to half of the Qur’aan for him.” [Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (2893)]

Its isnaad includes al-Hasan ibn Saalim al-‘Ajali. Al-Mazzi said: He is a Shaykh who is unknown and recited only one hadeeth. Al-‘Aqeeli said: He is unknown with regard to transmitting hadeeth. Ibn Hibbaan said: he narrates from trustworthy narrators things that do not sound right. [See Tahdheeb al-Tahdheeb (1/396]

The scholars are unanimously agreed that this hadeeth is also to be regarded as da’eef. It was classed as da’eef by al-Tirmidhi when he said, after quoting it: It is ghareeb. Al-‘Aqeeli said: It is not known, as stated in Tahdheeb al-Tahdheeb (1/396). It was also classed as da’eef by Ibn Hibbaan in al-Majrooheen (1/279), and al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Eemaan (2/497). Al-Dhahabi said in Mizaan al-I’tidaal (1/523): it is munkar. Al-Albaani said likewise in al-Da’eefah (1342).

Route 3:

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever recites ‘When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake’ in one night, it will be equivalent to half of the Qur’aan for him.” [Narrated by Ibn al-Sunni in ‘Aml al-Yawm wa’l-Laylah (691)]

Shaykh al-Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in al-Silsilah al-Da’eefah (1342): It was narrated by Abu Umayah al-Tarsoosi in Musnad Abi Hurayrah (2/195), but its isnaad is very weak (da’eef jiddan); it includes ‘Eesa ibn Maymoon al-Madani, who was classed as da’eef by a number of scholars. Abu Haatim and others said: His hadeeth is to be rejected.

Ibn Hajar said in Nataa’ij al-Afkaar (3/268): Its isnaad includes a narrator who is very weak

Conclusion:

From the above it is clear that there is no saheeh report from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) about Soorat al-Zalzalah being equivalent to half of the Qur’aan. But it seems that some of the imams of the salaf followed this hadeeth and, based on their own ijtihad, stated that the important meanings that are contained in this soorah are equivalent to half of the principles that the Qur’aan referred to and those salaaf and narrations are:

1. It says in Musannaf ‘Abd al-Razzaaq (3/372): It was narrated that Ma’mar said: I heard a man narrating that ‘When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake’ is equivalent to half of the Qur’aan.

2. It was narrated from Ja’far that Hishaam ibn Muslim said: I heard Bakr ibn ‘Abd-Allaah al-Muzani say: ‘When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake’ is half of the Qur’aan.

3. Abu ‘Ubayd narrated a mursal report from al-Hasan al-Basri: “ ‘When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake’ is equivalent to half of the Qur’aan, and ‘By the (steeds) that run’ (Soorat al-‘Aadiyaat) is equivalent to half of the Qur’aan.” [See: al-Itqaan by al-Suyooti (2/413)]

4. It was narrated that ‘Aasim ibn Abi’l-Nujood al-Imam al-Muqri’ said:

5. It was said that whoever recites ‘When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake’ it is as if he has recited half of the Qur’aan.

6. Ibn Hajar said in Nataa’ij al-Afkaar (3/270): its men are thiqaat.

7. Al-Manaawi said in Fayd al-Qadeer (1/367): Because the greatest objective of the Qur’aan is to explain the creation and the resurrection, and ‘When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake’ refers only to the resurrection, therefore it is equivalent to half of the Qur’aan. This was referred to by al-Qaadi.

Hence, this is the ijtihaad of some of the salaf, and it is not permissible to attribute it to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). It does not mean that it is equivalent to half of the Qur’aan in terms of reward. And Allaah knows best.

فَقَالَ: أَبُو بَكْرٍ: أَوْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: " أَوْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ».

SURAH Al FALAQ AND SURAH AL NAAS

It is reported that these surah's were revealed when the Prophet (s.a.w) had black magic casted upon him by a Jew in Madinah. Thus these two surahs (Muwaddhatayn) are one of the most powerful tools to combat ad prevent evil eye, black magic and similar harm.

    1. There is a saheeh hadeeth on it too and why do you have to stop reciting yaseen? just know that the virtues may or may not be true, either ways we cannot attribute if to the prophet and nevertheless, the reward of reciting qur`an is huge

    2. You should not stop receiting yaseen surah. Give importance to all the surahs equally. You will get 10 good deeds for each letter in qurah. No surahs must be ignored. We must not think one surah is better than other. Receit all surahs of quran. :):)

Abu Nua’ym & Bayhaqi in his Dalaa'il narrate from Ubayy ibn Ka’b (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) that he used to have a field of dates and he used to guard it but as time passed by he kept less watch over it. One night he planned to guard it, but he saw an (animal) in a shape of a young boy. Ubayy ibn Ka’b offered him greetings and he replied back. Ibn Ka’b asked him whether he was a human or Jinn? He replied: He was Jinn! Ubayy asked him to show his hand, Ubayy saw that his hand was like that of a dog and it had hair on it like a dog does. Ubayy asked: "Are Jinn created in this fashion?" He replied: "Some Jinn are even more stranger than me." Ubayy asked: "Who compelled you to do this (i.e. steal from my field)." He replied: "I have heard that you love to give Sadaqah." So I thought of taking (stealing) something from you." Ubayy asked: "What is it that can protect us from you?" The Jinn replied: “Ayaat al-Kursi; which is in Surah al-Baqarah [#2], whosoever recites it in the evening will be safe from our Sharr (evil) till the morning, and whosoever recites it in the morning he will be safe from us till the evening." The next morning ibn Ka’b went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him about this, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The Khabeeth (i.e. bad, wicked, impure etc) told the truth.” [An-Nasaa’i, abu Ya’la, ibn Hibbaan & Haakim who declared it Saheeh]

    Abu Hurayrah (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) narrated:
“The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) appointed me to guard the Ramadaan Zakaah. Someone came and started taking some of the food. I grabbed hold of him and said, ‘I am going to take you to the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ)!’ He said, ‘Let me be, for I am in need and I have children and am in great need.’ So I let him go. The following morning, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, ‘O Abu Hurayrah, what did your prisoner do last night?’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allaah, he complained of being in great need and having children to look after, so I took pity on him and let him go.’ He said, ‘But he was lying, and he will be back.’ So I knew that he would come back, because of what the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) had said. I lay in wait for him, and he came and started taking some of the food. I grabbed hold of him and said, ‘I am going to take you to the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ)!’ He said, ‘Let me be, for I am in need and I have children. I will not come back again.’ So I took pity on him and let him go. The following morning, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, ‘O Abu Hurayrah, what did your prisoner do last night?’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allaah, he complained of being in great need and having children to look after, so I took pity on him and let him go.’ He said, ‘But he was lying, and he will be back.’ So I lay in wait for him on the third night, and he came and started taking some of the food. I grabbed hold of him and said, ‘I am going to take you to the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ)! This is the third and last time. You said that you would not come back, then you did come back.’ He said, ‘Let me go, and I will teach you some words by which Allaah will benefit you.’ I said, ‘What are they?” He said, ‘When you lie down in your bed, recite Ayaat al-Kursiy, “Allaah! Laa ilaaha illa Huwa al-Hayyul-Qayyoom... (none has the right to be worshipped but He, the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists…) [al-Baraqah 2:255 – interpretation of the meaning] until the end of the Aayah, then you will have a protector from Allaah and no Shaytaan (devil) will come near you until morning comes.’ Then I let him go. The following morning, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, ‘What did your prisoner do last night?’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allaah, he claimed that he would teach me some words by which he said Allaah would benefit me, then I let him go.’ He asked, ‘What are they?’ I said, ‘He told me, when you lie down in your bed, recite Ayaat al-Kursiy, from the beginning to the end of the Aayah, “Allaah! Laa ilaaha illa Huwa al-Hayyul-Qayyoom... (none has the right to be worshipped but He, the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists…) [al-Baraqah 2:255 – interpretation of the meaning]. And he told me, you will have a protector from Allaah and no Shaytaan (devil) will come near you until morning comes.’ And they [the Sahaabah] were always keen to do good.’ The Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘He indeed told you the truth, although he is a liar. Do you know who you have been speaking with for the past three nights, O Abu Hurayrah?’ I said, ‘No.’ He said, ‘That was a Shaytaan (a devil).’” [Bukhari]

    ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ood (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) narrated:
“A man from among the humans went out and was met by a man from among the Jinn, who said: 'Will you wrestle with me? If you throw me to the ground, I will teach you an Aayah which, if you recite it when you enter your house, no devil will enter.' So, he wrestled with him and threw him to the ground. He said: 'I see that you are very small and your forearms are like the front paws of a dog. Are all the Jinn like this, or only you?' He said: 'I am strong amongst them. Let us wrestle again.' So, they wrestled again and the human threw him to the ground. So, the Jinn said: 'Recite Ayaat al-Kursi, for no one recites it when he enters his house except that Shaytaan leaves, passing wind like a donkey.'" It was said to Ibn Mas’ood: “Was that man ‘Umar?” He said: “Who else could it have been, other than ‘Umar?” [‘Majma’ az-Zawa’id’; 9/71, and it is Saheeh]

    Usayd bin Hudayr (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) narrated:
…that while he was reciting ‘al-Baqarah’ [#2] at night, and his horse was tied beside him, the horse was suddenly startled and troubled. When he stopped reciting, the horse became quiet, and when he started again, the horse was startled again. Then, he stopped reciting, and the horse became quiet, too. He started reciting again, and the horse was startled and troubled once again. Then, he stopped reciting, and his son, Yahya, was beside the horse. He was afraid that the horse might trample him. When he took the boy away and looked towards the sky, he could not see it.
The next morning he informed the Prophet (ﷺ) who said: “Recite, O Ibn Hudayr! Recite, O Ibn Hudayr!” Ibn Hudayr replied: “O Messenger of Allah! My son, Yahya, was near the horse, and I was afraid that it might trample him, so, I looked towards the sky, and went to him. When I looked at the sky, I saw something like a cloud containing what looked like lamps, and I went out in order not to see it.” The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Do you know what that was?” Ibn Hudayr replied: “No.” The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Those were Malaa'ikah (Angels) who came near you for your voice, and if you had kept on reciting till dawn, it would have remained there till morning for the people to have seen it, as it would not have disappeared." [Bukhari]

    SURAH AL-KAHF #18

    9.
A man was reciting Surah al-Kahf [#18] and his horse was tied with two ropes beside him. A cloud came down and spread over that man, and it kept on coming closer and closer to him till his horse started jumping (as if afraid of something). When it was morning, the man came to the Prophet (ﷺ), and told him of that experience. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "That was As-Sakeena (tranquillity) which descended because of (the recitation of) the Qur'aan." (Saheeh al-Bukhaaree)

    SURAH AL-FAT'H #48

    10.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Last night a verse which is dearer to me than all the world and what it contains , was
revealed to me..' And he recited to them the verse; "Verily, We have given you (O Muhammad ﷺ) a manifest victory. That Allaah may forgive you your sins of the past and the future, and complete His Favour on you, and guide you on the Straight Path. [48.1-2]" The Companions said: "Congratulations O Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ); Allaah has stated what your end is.. But what is for us ?" Thus the verse was revealed: "That He may admit the believing men and the believing women to Gardens under which rivers flow (i.e. Paradise), to abide therein forever, and to expiate from them their sins, and that is with Allaah, a supreme success. [48.5]" [Saheehayn]

    SURAH AN-NAJM #53

    14.
`Abdullah bin Mas`ood (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) said, "Surah an-Najm [#53] was the first Surah in which a prostration was revealed. The Prophet (ﷺ recited it in Makkah) and prostrated. Those who were with him did the same, except an old man who took a handful of soil and prostrated on it. Later on, I saw him killed as a disbeliever; he was Umayyah bin Khalaf.'' [Saheehayn]

    SURAH AL-MURSALAT #77

    15.
`Abdullah ibn Mas`ood (Radi-Allaahu 'anhu) said, "While we were with the Messenger of Allaah he (ﷺ) in a cave at Mina, 'Wal- Mursalat' [#77] was revealed to him. He was reciting it and I was learning it from his mouth. Verily, his mouth was moist with it." [Bukhari]

    16.
Narrated ibn `Abbaas (Radi-Allaahu 'anhuma), that Umm Al-Fadl (Radi-Allaahu anha, his mother) heard him (ibn `Abbaas) reciting 'Wal-Mursalat `Urfa' [#77], so she said, "O my son! You reminded me with your recitation of this Surah. Verily, it is the last thing I heard from the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ). He recited it in the Maghrib prayer (i.e., before he died).'' [Saheehayn]

    SURAH AL-INSHIQAAQ #84

Narrated Abu Salamah (Radi-Allaahu 'anhu) that while leading them in prayer, Abu Hurayrah (Radi-Allaahu 'anhu) recited, 'When the heaven is split asunder' [#84], and he prostrated during its recitation. Then when he completed the Salaah, he informed them that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) prostrated during its recitation. [Saheeh Muslim & An-Nasaa'i on the authority of Maalik]

    18.
Narrated Abu Rafi' (Radi-Allaahu 'anhu) that he prayed the Night prayer with Abu Hurayrah (Radi-Allaahu 'anhu) who recited, 'When the heaven is split asunder' [#84], then he prostrated. So Abu Rafi` questioned him about it. Abu Hurayrah replied, "I prostrated behind Abul-Qasim (the Prophet), and I will never cease prostrating during its recitation until I meet him.'' [Bukhari]

  20. SURAH AL-'ASR #103

    20.
`Abdullah bin `Amr (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) reported, "A man came to the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) and said, `Teach me what to recite, O Messenger of Allaah!' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Recite three from those (Surahs) which begin with the letters 'Alif, Lam, Ra' [Surah's #10], [#11]. [#12], [#14] & [#15]" The man then said to him, `I have become old in age, my heart has hardened and my tongue has become harsh.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then recite from those which begin with the letters 'Ha-Mim' [Surah's #40], [#41], [#42], [#43], [#44], [#45] & [#46]." The man said the same thing as he had said before, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Recite three from the Musabbihaat [Surah's #17], [#57], [#59], [#62], [#64] & [#87]." The man again said the same thing as he had said before. Then the man said, "Rather give me something to recite that is comprehensive (of all of these), O Messenger of Allaah." So the Prophet (ﷺ) told him to recite "When the earth quakes with its Zilzal [#99]." Then when he (the Prophet) finished reciting the Surah to him the man said, "By He Who has sent you with the truth as a Prophet, I will never add anything else to it." Then the man turned away and left, and the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The little man has been successful, the little man has been successful." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Bring him back to me." So the man came to him and the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "I have also been commanded to celebrate `Eid al-Adha, which Allaah has made a celebration for this Ummah." The man said, "What do you think if I am only able to acquire a borrowed milking she-camel - should I slaughter it?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No. But you should cut your hair, clip your nails, trim your moustache, shave your pubic area and that will be the completion of your sacrifice with Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic.'' [Abu Dawud, An-Nasaa'i & Ahmad]
    -
Ash-Shaafi`i (Rahimahullaah) said, "If the people were to ponder on this Surah, it would be sufficient for them.''

    SURAH AL-KAWTHAR #108

    21.
Anas (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) said, "While we were with the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) in the Masjid, he dozed off into a slumber. Then he lifted his head smiling. We said, "O Messenger of Allaah! What has caused you to laugh?" He said, "Verily, a Surah was just revealed to me." Then he recited, "Verily, We have granted you Al-Kawthar. Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice. For he who hates you, he will be cut off [#108]." Then he said, "Do you all know what Al-Kawthar is?" We said, "Allaah and His Messenger know best." He said, "Verily, it is a river that my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, has promised me and it has abundant goodness. It is a pond where my Ummah will be brought to on the Day of Judgement. Its containers are as numerous as the stars in the sky. Then a servant of Allaah from among them will be prevented from it and I will say: 'O Lord! Verily, he is from my Ummah (followers).'' Then He (Allaah) will say: 'Verily, you do not know what he introduced (or innovated) after you.'" [Muslim, Abu Dawud, An-Nasa'i & Ahmad]

Anas (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said; 'I entered Paradise and I came to a river whose banks had tents made of pearls. So I thrust my hand into its flowing water and found that it was the strongest (smell) of musk. So I asked, 'O Jibreel! What is this?'' He replied, 'This is Al-Kawthar which Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic has given you.'" In another narration Anas (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) said, "When the Prophet was taken up to the heaven, he said, 'I came to a river whose banks had domes of hollowed pearls. I said: 'O Jibreel! What is this?'' He replied: 'This is Al-Kawthar.'" In another narration, Anas (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) reported that a man said, "O Messenger of Allaah! What is Al-Kawthar'' He replied, "It is a river in Paradise which my Lord has given me. It is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. There are birds in it whose necks are long like carrots." `Umar (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) said, "O Messenger of Allaah! Verily, they (the birds) will be beautiful.'' The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "The one who eats them (i.e., the people of Paradise) will be more beautiful than them, O `Umar." [Saheehayn & Ahmad]

    23.
Al-Bukhari recorded from Sa`id bin Jubayr that Ibn `Abbaas said about Al-Kawthar, "It is the good which Allaah gave to him (the Prophet).'' Abu Bishr said, "I said to Sa`id bin Jubayr, `Verily, people are claiming that it is a river in Paradise.''' Sa`id replied, `The river which is in Paradise is part of the goodness which Allaah gave him.''' Al-Bukhari also recorded from Sa`id bin Jubayr that Ibn `Abbaas said, "Al-Kawthar is the abundant goodness.'' This explanation includes the river and other things as well. Because the word Al-Kawthar comes from the word "Kathrah" (abundance) and it (Al-Kawthar) linguistically means an abundance of goodness. So from this goodness is the river (in Paradise). Imam Ahmad recorded from ibn `Umar (RadiAllaahu-'anhuma) that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said, "Al-Kawthar is a river in Paradise whose banks are of gold and it runs over pearls. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey." This Hadeeth was recorded in this manner by At-Tirmidhi, ibn Maajah, ibn Abi Hatim and ibn Jareer.

    SURAH AL-MASAD (AL-LAHAB) #111

    24.
Al-Bukhari recorded from Ibn `Abbaas (RadiAllaahu-'anhuma) that the Prophet (ﷺ) went out to the valley of Al-Batha and he ascended the mountain. Then he cried out, "O people, come at once!" So the Quraysh gathered around him. Then he said, "If I told you all that the enemy was going to attack you in the morning, or in the evening, would you all believe me?" They replied, "Yes.'' Then he said, "Verily, I am a Warner (sent) to you all before the coming of a severe torment!" Then Abu Lahab said, "Have you gathered us for this May you perish!'' Thus, Allaah revealed, "Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab and perish he!" to the end of the Surah [#111].

    25.
In another narration it states that he stood up dusting of his hands and said, "Perish you for the rest of this day! Have you gathered us for this'' Then Allaah revealed, "Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab and perish he!" [#111] The first part is a supplication against him and the second is information about him. This man Abu Lahab was one of the uncles of the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ). His name was `Abdul-`Uzza bin Abdul-Muttalib. His surname was Abu `Utaybah and he was only called Abu Lahab because of the brightness of his face. He used to often cause harm to the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ). He hated and scorned him and his religion.

  22. SURAH AL-IKHLAAS #112

    26.
`Amrah bint `Abdur-Rahman who used to stay in the apartment of `A'ishah (RadiAllaahu-'anha), the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ), reported that `A'ishah said, "The Prophet sent a man as the commander of a war expedition and he used to lead his companions in prayer with recitation (of the Qur'aan). And he would complete his recitation with the recitation of "Say: 'He is Allaah, One & Only.'" [#112], So when they returned they mentioned that to the Prophet (ﷺ), and he said, "Ask him why does he do that." So they asked him and he said, "Because it is the description of Ar-Rahmaan and I love to recite it." So the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Inform him that Allaah the Most High loves him.'' [Saheehyan]

    27.
(Bukhari version of what you have already):
In another narration Anas (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) said, "A man from the Ansar used to lead the people in Salaah in the Masjid of Quba'. Whenever he began a Surah in the recitation of the prayer that he was leading them, he would start by reciting "Say: 'He is Allaah, One & Unique'" until he completed the entire Surah [#112]. Then he would recite another Surah along with it (after it). And used to do this in every Rak`ah. So his companions spoke to him about this saying; `Verily, you begin the Salaah with this Surah. Then you think that it is not sufficient for you unless you recite another Surah as well. So you should either recite it or leave it and recite another Surah instead.' The man replied, `I will not leave it off. If you want me to continue leading you (in prayer), I will do this; and if you all do not like it, I will leave you (i.e., I will stop leading you).' They used to consider him to be of the best of them to lead them in prayer and they did not want anyone else to lead them other than him. So, when the Prophet (ﷺ) came they informed him of this information and he said, 'O so-and-so! What prevents you from doing what your companions are commanding you to do, and what makes you adhere to the recitation of this Surah in every Rak`ah?' The man said, `Verily, I love it.' The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, 'Your love of it will cause you to enter Paradise.' [Bukhari]

    28.
(Complete version's of what you already included):
Al-Bukhari recorded from Abu Sa`eed al-Khudr'i (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) that a man heard another man reciting "Say: 'He is Allaah, One.'" and he was repeating over and over. So when morning came, the man went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and mentioned that to him, and it was as though he was belittling it. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By He in Whose Hand is my soul, verily it is equivalent to a third of the Qur'aan." In another narration Abu
Sa`eed al-Khudr'i (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said to his Companions, "Is one of you not able to recite a third of the Qur'aan in a single night?" This was something that was difficult for them and they said, "Which of us is able to do that, O Messenger of Allaah?'' So he replied (reciting), "Qul Huw-Allaahu Ahad, Allaahu-As-Samad [#112]'' is a third of the Qur'aan."

The man said the same thing as he had said before, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Recite three from the Musabbihaat [Surah's #17], [#57], [#59], [#62], [#64] & [#87]." The man again said the same thing as he had said before.

    44.
It has been confirmed in Saheeh Muslim from Jabir that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) recited this Surah (Al-Kaafiroon [#109]) and "Say: 'He is Allaah One.'" [#112] in the two Rak`ahs of Tawaf (around the Ka'bah). It is also recorded in Saheeh Muslim in a Hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) recited these two Surahs in the two Rak`ahs (optional prayer) of Salaatul-Fajr (the Morning prayer).

    45.
The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) heard a man reciting the former Surah in the first Rak’ah (Surah al-Kaafiroon #109), so he said, “This is a slave who believes in his Lord.” Then the man recited the latter Surah in the second Rak’ah (Surah al-Ikhlaas #112), so he said, “This is a slave who knows his Lord.” [At-Tahaawi, ibn Hibbaan & ibn Bushraan; ibn Haajar declared it Hasan in al-Ahadeeth al-'Aaliyaat (no.16)]

    46.
Narrated 'Aisha (radiAllaahu-'anha): "The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say: "How blessed are the two Surahs recited in the two Raka'ahs before Salaatul-Fajr: 'Say: 'He is Allaah, The One & Only'; [112] & 'Say: 'O you who disbelieve' [109]." [Silsilah Ahadeeth Saheeha: 646]

    47.
Al-Bukhari recorded from `A'ishah (RadiAllaahu-'anha) that whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) would go to bed every night, he would put his palms together and blow into them. Then he would recite into them (his palms), "Say: 'He is Allaah, One & Only'" [#112], "Say: 'I seek refuge with the Lord of Al-Falaq'" [#113], and "Say: 'I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind.'" [#114] Then he would wipe whatever he was able to of his body with them (his palms). He would begin wiping his head and face with them and the front part of his body. He would do this (wiping his body) three times.

  26. 48.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Say [recite] 'Qul, 'Huwa-Allaahu Ahad' [#112] and Mu`awwidhatayn [#113 & #114] three times in the morning and the evening; they will suffice you from everything."
    [A-Tirmidhi. And Imaam Al-Albaanee authenticated it: 2829]

    49.
`A'ishah (RadiAllaahu-'anha) reported that whenever the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) was suffering from an ailment, he would recite the al-Mu`awwidhatayn [#113 & #114] over himself and blow (over himself). Then if his pain became severe, `A'ishah said that she would recite the al-Mu`awwidhatayn over him and take his hand and wipe it over himself seeking the blessing of those (two) Surahs. [Bukhari, Abu Dawud, An-Nasaa'i, ibn Majah & Maalik all recorded this Hadeeth]

    50.
It has been reported from Abu Sa`eed (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) used to seek protection against the evil eyes of the Jinn and mankind. But when the al-Mu`awwidhatayn [#113 & #114] were revealed, he used them (for protection) and abandoned all else besides them. [At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasaa'i & ibn Maajah recorded this. At-Tirmidhi said, "This Hadith is Hasan-Saheeh."]

  27. I sincerely hope you received all 50 Saheeh Ahadeeth as it was a bit of a struggle sending them in many parts.

Ps. Ash-Shaykh, al-Muhaddith Muhammad Naasiruddeen al-Albaanee (Rahimahullaah - amongst the leading authorities in the 'Usool al-Hadeeth), as well as the majority of the 'Ulema all agree that there are no authentic Ahadeeth regarding Surah Yaseen #36.

Also, the following Hadeeth mentioned in your list about Surah al-Baqarah:

***Narrated Hudhaifah (RadiAllaahu-'anhu) that: "The Prophet (ﷺ) recited Surah al-Baqarah [#2], Surah Aal-e-'Imraan [#3] and an-Nisaa' [#4] in one Rak'ah, and he did not reach any Aayah that spoke of mercy but he asked Allaah for it, nor any Aayah that spoke of punishment but he asked Allaah for protection therefrom."***
    -
I checked for its authenticity and it is Saheeh, so please add that at the end, otherwise it implies that the Hadeeth needs to be checked for authenticity (classified/graded), so perhaps it could look like this at the end: ***[Sunan an-Nasaa'ee 1009; Saheeh]***

It is vital that Ahadeeth are checked for authenticity (and a blessed habit too as well as a sign of knowledge),- especially outside of as-Saheehayn (Bukhari & Muslim), otherwise we run the risk of attributing Sayings & Teachings to Rasoolullaah (ﷺ) when in actual fact he did not say it, which could prove detrimental to our Deen. A'udhubillaah!

I hope you and millions of others (one way or another) benefits much Khair from all of this, if I discover any more authentic Ahadeeth pertaining to the topic I'll let you know Inshaa Allaah!

And keep up the excellent work, JazakAllaahu-Khair!

Here are some Islamic files that I uploaded throughout the years (forgive me for the old ones that include musical instruments, please pardon those), there are many beneficial Islamic, Qur'aanic, Da'wah & Naseeha files (in the 1000's) that many can benefit from Inshaa Allaah!:

    1. the entire qur`an is a cure and a blessing. Every letter and verse of it. But this does not mean that we don't clarify the weak and fabricated virtues by people.

Narrated Aboo ’Umara al-Marwazee: Aboo ’Isma was asked: “Where did you get from ’Ikrimah from ‘Abdulllaah ibn ‘Abbaas (Radiyallaahu anhu) ahadeeth about the virtues of each surah or the Qur’aan, when ‘Ikrimah’s students do not possess such ahadeeth?” He replied: “I saw the people deserting the Qur’aan and occupying themselves with the fiqh of Aboo Haneefah and the maghaazee (narrations regarding battles) of Ibn Ishaaq. So I fabricated these ahadeeth, seeking reward from Allaah (Subhana wa ta ‘alaa).
