There is no doubt that the ultimate success is to enter through the gates of Paradise and to be among the inhabitants of a place where there is no suffering, no discomfort and no hardship. But as human beings, we tend to be easily distracted and tend to forget about our ultimate goal.

Allah's mercy cannot be compiled, imagined or calculated. No book can enlist Allah's mercy and no person can calculate it even approximately for it is supreme and unimaginable. Allah , out of his mercy has given us so many easy ways to seek paradise and believe you me, if we knew even 50% of these ways, we would marvel at the mercy of our Lord. We can start with thinking how he gave us eye better than the latest Canon Camera, and how he gave us legs to walk, better than a 4 wheeler car. How he gave us something as thin as Hair for protection, beauty and etc. so you see, every atom has a portion of his mercy, and we cannot compile it at one place. For this reason i am compiling this document, so that we all know atleast 20 + ways to Enter Jannah. May allah accept it Aamen

METHOD # 1 : GOING TO THE PRAY IN CONGREGATION (JAMAAT)

Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet (s.a.w) said,

"Allah will prepare for him who goes to the mosque (every) morning and in the afternoon (for the congregational prayer) an honorable place in Paradise with good hospitality for (what he has done) every morning and afternoon goings

[Sahih Bukhaari, Vol. 1, Book 11, Hadith 631]

METHOD # 2 : HAVING TAQWAH OF ALLAH AND A GOOD CHARACTER

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah was asked about that for which people are admitted into Paradise the most, so he said:"Taqwa of Allah, and good character." And he was asked about that for which people are admitted into the Fire the most, and he said: " The mouth and the private parts.

[Sunan at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Book 1, Hadith 2004]

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "For whomever Allah protects against the evil of what is between his jaws and the evil of what is between his legs, he shall enter Paradise.

[Ref: Jami'a at-Tirmidhi  Book 36, Hadith 2591]

See the Manners and character of Muhammad (s.a.w) http://the-finalrevelation.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-manners-and-character-of-muhammad.html

See the Manners of the Arabs during the days of Jahilliya (before the advent of Islam)http://the-finalrevelation.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-manners-of-arabs-during-pre-islamic.html

Explanation in brief

Taqwah (fear of Allah) – The scholars defined Taqwah as “placing a barrier between yourself and the punishment of Allah by performing that which He ordered and abstaining from that which He prohibited”.

Good character – The meaning of this is to have good character towards the creation. The lowest form of good character is not to harm people and its highest form is to do good to those who do bad to you.

The two actions which are a reason for entering hellfire are:

The mouth – Speaking that which displeases Allah such as arguing, abusing and slandering, lying, etc {see this article : http://the-finalrevelation.blogspot.com/2012/10/using-foul-language-and-abuses.html

The private parts – All forms of adultery

METHOD # 3 : OBEDIENCE TOWARDS ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER (S.A.W)

he Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “All my nation will enter the Paradise except those who refuse.” The companions asked, “O Rasulullah! Who would refuse?” He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) then said, “Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise and whoever disobeys me has indeed refused (to go to Paradise).

[Ref: Sahih Al Bukhaari, Vol. 9, Book 92, Hadith 384]

METHOD # 4 : SEEKING AND SPREADING ISLAMIC KNOWLEDGE

The prophet (s.a.w) said " Convey from me, even if an Ayah"

The Prophet (peace be upon him) stated: “may allah brighten (the face of) a person who hears a hadith from us and memorizes it to conveys it to others; for perhaps a receiver of knowledge is more knowledgeable than a transmitter, and perhaps a transmitter (of knowledge), is not versed in knowledge.”

[Ref: Al-Tirmidhy, Sunan, Book on knowledge, no. 2656; Abu Dawud, Sunan, Book on knowledge, no. 3660; Ibn Majah, Sunan, Book on asceticism, no. 4105; Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Musnad, vol. 5, p. 183; and Al-Darimy, Sunan, Introduction, no. 229.]

In today's time , seeking and sharing knowledge has become Obligatory, see Sunan Ibn Majah, Book 1, Number 224

Kathir ibn Qays said: I was sitting with Abud Darda' in the mosque of Damascus.
A man came to him and said: AbudDarda, I have come to you from the town of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) for a tradition that I have heard you relate from the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w). I have come for no other purpose.

He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, Allah will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The angels will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge, the inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned man over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave neither dinar nor dirham, leaving only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion.

(Ref: Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2606, Sunan Abi Dawood 3641, Sahih)

It was narrated that Zirr bin Hubaish said: "I went to Safwan bin 'Assal Al-Muradi and he said: 'What brought you here?' I said: 'I am seeking knowledge.' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah say: "There is no one who goes out of his house in order to seek knowledge, but the angels lower their wings in approval of his action.'"

[Ref: Sunan ibn Maajah, Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 226]

The prophet (s.a.w) said : ...Whoever follows a path in pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make easy fro him a path to paradise. No people gather in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and teaching it to one another, but the angels will surround them, tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will envelop them and Allah will mention them to those who are with Him. And whoever is hindered because of his bad deeds, his lineage will be of no avail to him.'"

[Ref: Sunan ibn Maajah,Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 225, See Sahih Muslim Book 35, Hadith 6518]

Awn bin Abdullah said: I said to (Ameer ul Momineen) Umar bin Abdul Aziz: It is said: 'Indeed if you are able to become a scholar, then become a scholar, and if you are unable, then become a student, and if you are unable to become a student, then love them, if you are unable to love them, then do not have hatred towards them' so 'Umar bin 'Abdul Azeez replied, 'Subhaan Allaah! Allaah the Mighty and Majestic has even given this one an exit

[Narrated by Abu Khaythama, Faswi in Muarifat al Tareekh 3/398,399, Ibne Abdul Bar in Jame Byan al Ilm 1.142-143]

The Biggest virtue of seeking and spreading knowledge is that it is the only thing which is guaranteed to help us even after our death :

Rasool (s.a.w) said: "The action of man stops when he dies except three things: continuous charity, knowledge (that he shares/teaches) or a pious child who prays for him.

[Ref: Sahih Muslim: 4223]

The virtues of seeking knowledge are simply numerous, so much so that many great Scholrs such as Imam an-Nasaa'ee compiled a book on this topic, And every other hadeeth book has a separate chapter dedicated to this topic. See :

(i) Book of Knowledge (Kitab Al-Ilm) : http://sunnah.com/abudawud/26
(ii) The Book of Knowledge : http://sunnah.com/riyadussaliheen/13

METHOD # 5 : BUILDING A MASJID

The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said : Whoever builds a Masjid for (the sake of) Allah, then Allah will build a similar house for him in Paradise.

[Ref: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 318, Sunan an-Nasaa'ee 688, and elsewhere]

METHOD # 6 : PRAYING THE DAILY 12 RAK'AH SUNNAH PRAYERS

The Messenger of Allaah (Sallalahu Alayhee Wasallam) also said “whoever prayed 12 rakahs in the day and night a house will be made for him paradise. 4 rakahs before Dhuhr and 2 after, 2 rakahs after maghrib, 2 rakahs after Ishaa and 2 rakahs before the Fajr prayer.”

[Ref: Sunan Tirmidhee no.415, Sahih Muslim 728]

To know the number of rak'ahs for different prayers in Islam seehttp://the-finalrevelation.blogspot.in/2012/07/the-number-of-rakahs-for-prayers_248.html

METHOD # 7 : AVOIDING VAIN ARGUMENTS AND FALSE JOKING

Narrated Abu Umamah: The Prophet (s.a.w ) said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarreling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.

[Sunan Abi Dawud 4800, Hasan]

Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the most hated man to Allah is the one who is harsh in argument.”

[Sahih Muslim, Book 34, Number 6447]

Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No people go astray after being guided except that they indulge in arguments.” Then he recited the verse, “They strike an example for you only to argue; rather, they are a quarrelsome people.” (Qur'an 43:58)

[Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Book of Exegesis, Number 3253, Sahih]

It is reported that there was a young man who was from the people of knowledge who used to put himself forward, speak and behave haughtily with his knowledge in front of those older than him. This angered Sufyan at-Thawree (r.h) and he said, “The Salaf were never like this; they never used to claim leadership, or sit at the head of the gathering until they had sought this knowledge for thirty years, and you act haughty in front of those who are older than you. Get up, I never want to see you even come close to my circle.”

[Ref: Al Bayhaqi , Al Madhkal Ila Al-Sunan al-Kubra 2:74]

METHOD # 8 : HAVING A GOOD CHARACTER

The Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “I guarantee a house in the upper part of Paradise for a person who has good character.”

[Ref: Sunan Abi Dawud 4800, Sahih]

The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: By his good character a believer will attain the degree of one who prays during the night and fasts during the day.

[Ref: Sunan Abi Dawud 4798, Sahih Albani]

The Prophet (s.a.w) said: There is nothing heavier than good character put in the scale of a believer on the Day of Resurrection

[Ref: Sunan Abi Dawud 4799, Sahih]

Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the believers with the most complete faith are those with the most excellent character and who are most kind to their family.”

[Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Book of Faith, Number 2612, Sahih]

Again, the Importance of character and its teachings are of such importance that every other hadeeth book has a dedicated chapter to this topic. Some of them are :

(i) General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab) - Sunan Abi Dawood : http://sunnah.com/abudawud/43

(ii) Dealings with people and good character : Adab al-Mufrad : http://sunnah.com/adab/14

METHOD # 9 : TO STAY IN WUDU AND PRAY AFTER ADHAN

Narrated Abu Huraira:
At the time of the Fajr prayer the Prophet (s.a.w) asked Bilal, "Tell me of the best deed you did after embracing Islam, for I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise." Bilal replied, "I did not do anything worth mentioning except that whenever I performed ablution during the day or night, I prayed after that ablution as much as was written for me.

[Ref: Sahih Bukhaari,  Vol. 2, Book 21, Hadith 250, Imam Bukhaari titled this chapter as "The Superiority of remaining with ablution during the day and night"]

The Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) called upon Bilal (radi Allahu anhu) and said, ‘What did you do to deserve entering Paradise? For I have heard the rustling of your garment in front of me in Paradise.” He replied, “O Messenger of Allah! I have never called the Athaan except that I have prayed two units of prayer after it, and no impurity has ever happened to me except that I have made ablution after it.” Rasulullah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) then said, “It is because of them.”

[Ref: Reported by Ibn Khuzaima]

METHOD # 10 : BY WORSHIPING ALLAH OFTEN

Rabi'a b. Ka'b said: I was with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) one night. and I brought him water and what he required. He said to me: Ask (anything you like). I said: I ask your company in Paradise. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Or anything else besides it. I said: That is all (what I require). He said: Then help me to achieve this for you by devoting yourself often to prostration.

[Ref: Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith 990]

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) informed Rabi’ah that in order to achieve this great bounty (the Prophet’s companionship in paradise) one must constantly prostrate to Allah Almighty. The meaning of prostration here is Salat (prayer) because in the Arabic language one may call Salat Sujood (prostration).

METHOD # 11 : PERFORMING HAJJ ACCORDING TO THE TAUGHT METHOD OF THE PROPHET (S.A.W)

The Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “The reward for an accepted hajj is nothing less than Paradise.”

[Ref: Bukhaari and Muslim]

Note: Many a times, people tend to introduce a lot of practises into the rituals of Hajj, and end up innovating the Hajj ritual to a small or large extent. They also fail to abide by the rules thereby lessening their chances of having their Hajj accepted.

METHOD # 12 : RECITING AYAT UL-KURSI AFTER EVERY FARDH SALAH

The prophet (s.a.w) said : One who recites Ayatul Kursi [Qur'an chapter 2 verse 255] after every fardh salah, during death his soul will be taken out as easily as one takes out a strand of hair from dry Flour

Another hadith narrates that nothing will be between him and heaven who recites Ayatul Kursi after ever fardh salat immediately in d position he is seated.

[Ref: Quran - chapter 2 verse 255, An-Nasa'i, 'Amalul-Yawm wal-Laylah (Hadith no. 100), also Ibn As-Sunni (no. 121). See also Al-Albani, Sahihul-Jami' As-Saghir 5/339 and Silsilatul-Ahadith As-Sahihah 2/697 (no. 972), Hakim, Al Tabraani.]

To know the dua'a, Adhkar to be recited after every fardh salah see :http://the-finalrevelation.blogspot.in/2012/09/duas-to-be-recited-after-every-fardh.html

METHOD # 13: PERFECTING THE 99 NAMES OF ALLAH

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said “Allah has ninety nine names, one less than a hundred, whoever perfects them enters paradise”.

[Ref: Sahih Bukhaari and Muslim]

Brief Explanation of this hadeeth:

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah has ninety-nine Names, i.e., one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise; and Allah is witr (one) and loves 'the witr' (i.e., odd numbers)

[Ref: Sahih Bukhaari, Vol. 8, Book 75, Hadith 419]

Every name of Allah has a meaning and its Tafseer. In this hadeeth, the meaning of “perfecting” Allah’s names is to affirm them, memorize them and understand their meanings. We live in a society (especially in the Indian/Pakistani region) where people go to some Babas to seek their child, wherein Allah alone is the granter of every blessing. We have people who believe shifa (cure) lies in the hands of some pious person (alive or dead) and end up first seeking the help of that mud-made man instead of Allah when we know that Allah alone heals and cures. So on and so forth. These actions defy the very attributes (characteristic) of Allah, thereby pushing a Muslim into shirq and Kufr.

METHOD # 14 : CONVEY THE ISLAMIC GREETING OF Assalamu Alaikum TO EACH OTHER (whom you know or not), FEED THE POOR , BE GOOD TO YOUR FAMILY AND RELATIVES AND PRAY A PORTION OF THE NIGHT

Abdullah bin Salam (r.a) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:“O people, extend greetings (saying Salam to each other), keep relations with your kin, provide food (to people) and pray at night when people are asleep and you will enter Paradise in peace.”

[Ref: by At-Tirmidhi who graded it as Sahih, Ibn Haja in Bulugh al Maraam Book 16, Hadith 1574 who graded is Sahih here and Hasan in Takhreej al-Mishkat , Al Mundhari in Targheeb wa Tarheeb 1/289, Sahih]

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When one of you meets his brother, let him greet him with peace. If they are separated by a tree or a wall or a stone and he meets him again, let him greet him with peace again.”

[Source: Sunan Abu Dawud 5200; Sahih (authentic) according to Ibn Hajar]

Abu Umamah reported: He said, “O Messenger of Allah, when two people meet each other, who should greet with peace first?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The one closest to Allah will greet first.”

[Source: Sunan At-Tirmidhi 2694]

Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the best of the people to Allah are those who begin the greeting of peace.”

[Source: Sunan Abu Dawud 5197]

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The rider should greet those walking with peace, those walking should greet those sitting with peace, and individuals should greet a group with peace.”

In another narration, the Prophet said, “The young should greet the elders with peace.”

Source: Sahih Bukhari 5880, Sahih Muslim 2160, Musnad Ahmad 10247

Note: the consequences of severing the blood relations, i.e the family ties, whether you like them or not, is so severe that a person if punished for it, will be one of the most unfortunate soul ever. Please see this link to learn how to save yourself from this wrath of Allah: http://the-finalrevelation.blogspot.com/2012/10/obligation-of-upholding-ties-of-family.html

Narrated Jubair bin Mut`im: That he heard the Prophet (s.a.w) saying, "The person who severs the bond of kinship will not enter Paradise

[Ref: Sahih Bukhaari, Vol. 8, Book 73, Hadith 13]

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'By the One in whose Hand is my soul! You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not (truly) believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread the greetings of Salam amongst yourselves.

[Ref: Sunan ibn Maajah, Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 68]

METHOD # 15: A WOMAN FULFILLING THE RIGHTS OF HER HUSBAND

It was narrated from ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:“If a woman does her five (daily prayers), fasts her month (Ramadaan), guards her chastity and obeys her husband, it will be said to her: Enter whichever of the gates of Paradise you want.”

[Ref: Daraqutni, Hadith 772, Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 1595 and Ibn Hibban]

Abu Hurairah (r.a) narrated that The Prophet said: “If I were to order anyone to prostrate to anyone, then I would order the wife to prostrate to her husband.” (Hasan)

[Sunan Tirmidhi Vol. 1, Book 7, Hadith 1159]

Note: The rights of women which are to be taken care of by the husband are also many, and even the husband is held responsible for neglecting or exempting from it.

See how the prophet (s.a.w) treated his wives; The world's best Husbandhttp://the-finalrevelation.blogspot.com/2012/08/how-the-prophet-treated-his-wives.html

Rights of the Husband and Wife over each otherhttp://islaahh.wordpress.com/2012/11/01/rights-of-husband-wife/

METHOD # 16 : LOOKING AFTER ONE'S DAUGHTERS OR SISTERS

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that :the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever has three daughters, or three sisters, or two daughters, or two sisters and he keeps good company with them and fears Allah regarding them, then Paradise is for him

[Ref: Jami'a at-Tirmidhi, Book 27, Hadith 2040, Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 79, 77, Also see Sunan Ibn Majah 3670 , Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 76 and Sahih at-Targheeb 1973, ]

Jabir ibn 'Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Anyone who has three daughters and provides for them, clothes them and shows mercy to them will definitely enter the Garden.{ (1) and in another narration the prophet said 'they will be a shield against the fire for him} " A man from the people said, "And two daughters, Messenger of Allah?" He said, "And two.

[Ref: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 78, Hasan (1) : Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 76, Sahih al Albaani and Sunan Ibn Majah 3669]

To Look after the Divorced daughter who returns to you

Musa ibn 'Ali reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Shall I show you the greatest sadaqa (or one of the greatest forms of sadaqa)?" He replied, "Yes, indeed, Messenger of Allah!" He went on, "To provide for your daughter when she is returned to you and you are her sole source of provision."

[Ref: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 80, Da'eef]

Even though this hadeeth is Da'eef, one can still urge to take care of his daughter for many obvious reasons. Why take the risk? It is better to love and care than be humiliated and regretful on the day of Judgement for missing out such an opportunity

See the Nuclear warnings of severing the ties of Kinship (blood relations) : http://the-finalrevelation.blogspot.com/2012/10/obligation-of-upholding-ties-of-family.html

This is how the prophet (s.a.w) treated his daughter :

He prophet (peace be upon him) would stand up for his daughter fatimah (may allah be pleased with her) when she would come to him, take her hands, kiss her and let her take his seat. Likewise, whenever the prophet (peace be upon him) came to her she would stand up for him, take his hand and kiss him.

METHOD # 17 : TO BE PATIENT AT THE DEATH OF ONE'S CHILD

Prophet (s.a.w) said, "A woman whose three children die will be shielded by them from the Hell fire." On that a woman asked, "If only two die?" He replied, "Even two (will shield her from the Hell-fire).

[Ref: Sahih al-Bukhari 101]

Anas ibn Malik reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "If someone has three children die before they reach puberty, Allah will admit him and them to the Garden by virtue of His mercy."

[Ref: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 151, Sahih]

The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, "Allah, the Exalted, says: 'I have no reward other than Jannah for a believing slave of Mine who remains patient for My sake when I take away his beloved one from among the inhabitants of the world"

[Ref: Al Bukhaari and Riyad as Saaliheen, Book 1, Hadith 32]

METHOD # 18 : SPONSORING AND CARING FOR ONE/MORE ORPHAN

the Messenger of Allah said: " I and the sponsor of an orphan shall be in Paradise like these two."And he indicaed with his fingers, meaning his index and his middle finger(Sahih)

[Ref: Jami'a at-Tirmidhi, Book 27, Hadith 2042, Sahih]

METHOD # 19 : VISITING THE SICK

The Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “When the Muslim visits his (sick) Muslim brother, he is harvesting the fruits of Paradise until he returns..”

[Ref: Sahih Muslim 2568]

the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever visits a sick person or visits a brother in Islam, a caller cries out to him: ‘May you be happy, may your walking be blessed, and may you occupy a dignified position in Paradise’.”

[Ref: According to al-Tirmidhi (2008), Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi]

Imam Ahmad narrated that Jaabir (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever visits a sick person is plunging into mercy until he sits down, and when he sits down he is submerged in it.”

[Ref: Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 2504]

Narrated that ‘Ali (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “There is no Muslim who visits a (sick) Muslim early in the morning but seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until evening comes, and if he visits him in the evening, seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until morning comes, and he will have a garden in Paradise.”

METHOD # 20 : EASY GOING (MODERATE) IN TRADE ACTIVITIES ANT NOT BEING A MISER OR EXTRAVAGANT

It was narrated that 'Uthman bin 'Affan said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, admitted to paradise a man who was easygoing in buying and selling, in paying off debts and asking for repayment.

[Ref: Sunan an-Nasa'i 4696 also in Tarikh al-Kabeer of Imam Bukhaari]

It was reported on the authority of Mu'adh ibn Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said,

whoever gives up wearing elegant and expensive garments out of humbleness, while they can afford them, allah will call them on the day of judgment, and in front of all the people, he will give them the choice to wear whichever garment of iman (faith) they would like to wear.

(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 3, pp. 438-439; Al-Tirmidhy, vol. 4, p. 650, no. 2481; Abu Ya`la, vol. 3, pp. 60 and 68, nos. 1484 and 1499; Al-Hakim, vol. 1, p. 61, vol. 4, pp. 183-184; Al-Tabarany, Al-Kabir, vol. 20, pp. 181, 188-189, nos. 387, 415, and 417, Al-Awsat, and Al-Awsat, vol. 10, p. 119, no. 9252, (verified by Al-Tahhan); Abu Nu`aym, vol. 8, pp. 47-48; Al-Bayhaqy, Shu`ab Al-Iman, vol. 11, p. 137, no. 5741, (ed.: Dar Al-Salafiyyah, India), Al-Adab, vol. s, p. 262, no. 665 (verified by `Abdul-Quddus Nadhir))

METHOD # 21 : FORGIVING THE POOR DEBTOR

Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) said, "A man used to give loans to the people and used to say to his servant, 'If the debtor is poor, forgive him, so that Allah may forgive us.' So when he met Allah (after his death), Allah forgave him

[Ref: Sahih Bukhaari, Vol. 4, Book 55, Hadith 687]

These ahadeeth shows the virtue of being lenient in trade whereby the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) mentioned that Allah granted paradise to a man who was lenient in his trade by fearing Allah in his buying, selling and loaning, also by being forgiving towards others if they struggle to repay their debts towards him and not pressuring them to sell their valuables in order to repay him.

METHOD # 22 : COMBINING THESE 4 DEEDS IN ONE DAY

The Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked, “Who is fasting today?” Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) replied, “Me”. The Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked, “Who has followed a funeral procession today?” Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) replied, “Me”. The Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked, “Who has fed a poor person today?” Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) replied, “Me”. The Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked, “Who has visited a sick person today?” Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) replied, “Me”. The Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) then said, “Any person that has done these four things in one day will enter Paradise.”

[Ref: Sahih Muslim]

Virtues of following the funeral of a Muslim

The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever performs the funeral prayer then he will get a reward equal to a Qirat. Whoever follows it until it is buried then he will get a reward equal to two Qirat, one of them, or the least of them, is similar to Uhud (mountain)." This was mentioned to Ibn Umar, so he sent a message to Aishah to ask her about that, and she said: "Abu Hurairah has told the truth." So Ibn Umar said: "We have missed many Qirat."

[Jami’a al tirmidhi , Arabic : Book 10, Hadith 1057, Eng : Vol. 2, Book 5, Hadith 1040]

The Messenger of Allah said: "Whenever you see a funeral procession (Muslim or Non Muslim), stand up until it goes ahead of you or it is put down

[Ref: Tirmidhi,Book 10, Hadith 1060, Sahih]

METHOD # 23: BEING PATIENT WHEN BLIND

The Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Allah The Most High has said, ‘If I take away the eyesight of a slave of Mine and he shows patience and seeks My reward, then I shall reward him with nothing less than Paradise.”‘

[Ref: Sahih al Bukhaari]

Note: Many from salafus saaliheen, lost their vision nearing the end of their life cycle, but they always bore it patiently.

METHOD # 24: WHOEVER SAYS I AM PLEASED WITH ALLAH AS MY LORD , ISLAM AS MY RELIGION AND MUHAMMAD AS A PROPHET

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) as saying:If anyone says

 رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالإِسْلاَمِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيًّا

"I am pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion and with Muhammad (s.a.w) as Apostle" Paradise will be his due.

[Sunan Abi Dawud 1529, Sahih, Also see : 3389]

Another hadeeth informs us that when the Muaddhin (who gives the Adhan) says "Ashadu Allah Ilaaha Ill Allah or when he says "Ashadu Anna Muhammadur Rasool Allah" one should say

"وَأَنَا أَشَْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، رَضِيتُ    بِاللهِ رَبَّاً وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رِسُولاً وَبِالإِْسلاَمِ دِيناً".

Wa 'anaa 'ash-hadu 'an laa 'ilaaha 'illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa 'anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa Rasooluhu, radheetu billaahi Rabban, wa bi-Muhammadin Rasoolan wa bil'islaami deenan.

I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner, and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Muhammad as my Messenger and with Islam as my religion.[To be recited in Arabic after the Mu'aththin’s Tashahhud or the words of affirmation of Faith] [Sahih Muslim 1/290, and Ibn Khuzaymah 1/220]

METHOD # 25: THOSE WHO OBSERVE THE FAST OF RAMADAN

It was narrated from Sahi bin Sad that the Prophet (s.a.w) said: "For those who fast there is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Rayyan, through which no one but they will enter. When the last of them has entered it, it will be closed. Whoever enters through it will drink, and whoever drinks will never thirst again.

[Ref: Sunan an-Nasa'i 2237]

METHOD # 26 : NOT INDULGING IN SHIRQ, BELIEVING IN ISLAM , THE PROPHETS , PARADISE AND HELL, DAY OF RESURRECTION

Prophet (s.a.w said : He who said:" There is no god but Allah, He is One and there is no associate with Him, that Muhammad is his servant and His messenger, that Christ is servant and the son of His slave-girl and he (Christ) His word which He communicated to Mary and is His Spirit, that Paradise is a fact and Hell is a fact," Allah would make him (he who affirms these truths enter Paradise through any one of its eight doors which he would like.

[Ref: Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Hadith 43]

In the next hadeeth the prophet (s.a.w) said Allah would make him (he who affirms these truths by belief and practice)  enter Paradise through one of the eight doors which he would like.

METHOD # 27 : ONE WHO PRAYS FAJR AND 'ASR PRAYER

Abu Bakr (Ibn Abu Musa) reported on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: He who observed two prayers at two cool (hours or Fajr and 'Asr) would enter Paradise.

[Ref: Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith 1326]

Umara b. Ruwaiba reported on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:

He who said prayer before the rising of the sun and its setting would not enter the fire (of Hell), and there was a man from Basra (sitting) beside him who said: Did you hear it from the Apostle of Allah (way peace be upon him)? He said: Yes, I bear witness to it. The man from Basra said: I bear witness that I did hear from the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) saying it from the place that you heard from him.

[Ref: Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith 1325]

METHOD # 28 : NOT INDULGING IN SHIRQ OF ANY KIND AND NOT SHEDDING BLOOD UNLAWFULLY

It was narrated from Uqbah bin Amir Al-Juhani that the Messenger of Allah () said:
“Whoever meets Allah (s.w.t) not associating anything in worship with him, and not having shed any blood unlawfully, will enter Paradise.

[Ref: Sunan Ibn Maajah, Vol. 3, Book 21, Hadith 2618]

The Prophet (s.a.w) said one statement and I said another. The Prophet (.a.w) said "Whoever dies while still invoking anything other than Allah (such as ya Gauz Madad, Ya Ali madad, ya Muhammad Madad) as a rival to Allah, will enter Hell (Fire)." And I said, "Whoever dies without invoking anything as a rival to Allah, will enter Paradise."

[Ref: Sahih Bukhaari, Vol. 6, Book 60, Hadith 24]

Apart from sharing the attributes (power, characteristics) of Allah, there are other actions , which if indulged in will charge us from shirq (minor or major) such as :

Sa'id ibn Ubaydah said:Ibn Umar heard a man swearing: No, I swear by the Ka'bah. Ibn Umar said to him: I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: He who swears by anyone but Allah is polytheist.

[Ref: Sunan Abi Dawud 3251]

METHOD # 29 : BECOME A MUSLIM

Prophet (s.a.w) said "Verily none shall enter Paradise except a Muslim soul.

[Ref: Jami'a at-Tirmidhi, Part of a long hadeeth, Book 38, Hadith 2744]

The Prophet (s.a.w) said, "None will enter Paradise but will be shown the place he would have occupied in the (Hell) Fire if he had rejected faith, so that he may be more thankful; and none will enter the (Hell) Fire but will be shown the place he would have occupied in Paradise if he had faith, so that may be a cause of sorrow for him."

[Ref: Sahih al Bukhaari, Vol. 8, Book 76, Hadith 573]

METHOD # 30 : LOVING AND CARING FOR EACH OTHER FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH

The Messenger of Allaah (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) narrated that his Lord said:

“My love is guaranteed for two who love one another for My sake; My love is guaranteed for two who visit one another for My sake; My love is guaranteed for two who help one another (financially) for My sake; My love is guaranteed to two who uphold ties with one another for My sake.”

[Narrated by Ahmad, 4/236 and 5/236; al-Tanaasuh by Ibn Hibbaan, 3/338; the two ahaadeeth were classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb, 3019, 3020, 3021]

METHOD 31: Two or Four people (Muslims) testifying to his piety after his death

Narrated Abu Al-Aswad: I came to Medina when an epidemic had broken out. While I
was sitting with `Umar bin Al-Khattab a funeral procession passed by and the people praised the deceased. `Umar said, "It has been affirmed to him." And another funeral procession passed by and the people praised the deceased. `Umar said, "It has been affirmed to him." A third (funeral procession) passed by and the people spoke badly of the deceased. He said, "It has been affirmed to him." I (Abu Al-Aswad) asked, "O chief of the believers! What has been affirmed?" He replied, "I said the same as the Prophet(pbh) had said, that is: if four persons testify the piety of a Muslim, Allah will grant him Paradise." We asked, "If three persons testify his piety?" He (the Prophet) replied, "Even three." Then we asked, "If two?" He replied, "Even two." We did not ask him regarding one witness. [Bukhaari 2/449]

Note: This has terms and conditions and it all depends upon the intentions. Allah alone knows if that person was pious or he merely did it to show off.

32. Guarding one's tongue and private parts
Allah's Apostle (s.a.w) said, "Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw-bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his tongue and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him."  [Bukhaare 8/481]
33. Doing some deeds of Charity referenced to Maniha

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr: That Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) said, "There are forty virtuous deeds and the best of them is the Maniha [1] of a shegoat, and anyone who does one of these virtuous deeds hoping for Allah's reward with firm confidence that he will get it, then Allah will make him enter Paradise because of Hassan (a subnarrator) said, "We tried to count those good deeds below the Maniha; we mentioned replying to the sneezer, removing harmful things from the road, etc., but we failed to count even fifteen." [Reported by Al Bukhari in the book of donation, chapter on the virtue of Maniha 3/144].

[1] See the explanations of the Hadith along with other narrations with the same meaning in Fathul-Bary 5/242-246].

Imaam Bukhaari (r.h) titled a chapter in his Saheeh called : The excellence of the maniha (a she-camel or sheep lent to someone for milking)

Under this chapter he bought the hadeeth :

2486. It is related from Abu Hurayra (r.a) that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "How excellent is the maniha given as a gift, one which has recently given birth and has abundant milk, and the sheep with abundant milk, giving a bowl in the morning and a bowl in the evening!'

'Abdullah ibn Yusuf and Isma'il related that Malik said, "It is excellent sadaqa!"

So here in this context Maniha is being referred to as an act of charity such as indulging in lending such a livestock or removing a stone from the road and etc.

34. The one who has the following qualities among the three

The Prophet (s.a.w) said : "The inmates of Paradise are three: One who wields (executes) authority and is just and fair [1] , one who Is truthful and has been endowed with power to do good deeds. And  the person who is merciful and kind hearted towards his relatives and to every pious Muslim, and one who does not stretch his hand (i.e begging) in spite of having a large family to support." [Muslim Bk 40-6853]

[1] Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Verily, those who were fair will be in the presence of Allah upon pulpits of light, near the right hand of the Merciful, the Exalted, and both of His sides are right (being equal in honor); those who practiced justice in their rulings and with their families and in all that they did. [Saheeh Muslim 4493]

35. Reciting this Du`a morning and evening

 Narrated Shaddad bin Aus:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is (by saying)

The Prophet (ﷺ) added. "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise."

[Saheeh Bukhaari, Vol. 8, Book 75, Hadith 318]

Note: this hadeeth in no ways means or implies towards killing one self to achieve such a position because first of all suicide is haraam and second of all this is not what the hadeeth implies towards.

    1. Sorry for the late reply. We are more active on our fb page www.facebook.com/thefinalrevelation. As for your question, then the simple answer is " Allah knows best" what *exactly* will happen to a person who sins as well as tries to do good deeds to balance it off. This is the fate of the majority of muslims. Allah will punish oppression and sins in accordance to what is just. And he will reward as well in the same manner. If the good deeds outweigh the bad then he is fortunate. If not then allahu `alam. However as per some prophetic traditions, there are some sins or some categories / genre of sins which if committed cannot be wiped away by other good deeds. So these will have to be paid on qiyamah if not before.
